Now you probably have a lot of questions. How do I get products to promote? Where can I promote? How can I promote? Maybe you’re even thinking…Where do I start? Or, How to affiliate? Well, I’ll go over how it’s done now, very briefly. You can follow along with the steps and do it as it goes on, or just read it, learn how to affiliate and then do it all at once later.

First step of how to affiliate, you choose a “niche” which is a particular topic or subject which you will be focusing your website on. You need to choose something that firstly, is in some sort of demand, or need. This way you can promote products and make sales much more easily. But also, you need to have some sort of passion in the chosen topic. There’s no point choosing something that you know nothing about and aren’t motivated in learning about. Once you have your “niche”, you need to link it with some products. Now, there are several affiliate programs you can use to get an Affiliate-Vendor connection. The “affiliate” is you (promoter of the product), and the “vendor” is the person who’s selling the product. My favourite and definitely the most popular on the internet for many reasons is ClickBank. They are free to join, and free to use. They send out payments fast and easily without any problems. And, they are widely used and known, so have many products to promote, and many affiliates to promote your products (if you’re a vendor). So I suggest joining up with ClickBank.

Now once you’re up on ClickBank, you need to go into the “Marketplace” (link is up on top of page). In the “Marketplace” you can see all the products that are offered by vendors and all the categories of the products. Here you can either search by category or keyword for a product relating to your topic. Find a few that relate to your product and you can create “Hoplinks”, which are special links which YOU need to use on YOUR site to send people to the product page. These “Hoplinks” are unique to your own account, and you should be making hoplinks for every product you wish to promote and only use those hoplinks you create.

Now, you should have your niche, and a few products, at least one is enough to start off with. From here, you need to create a website. It’s best to go have a look at some website hosting plans. I suggest HostGator. It has the cheapest plans I’ve found, with a very reliable and user friendly interface, you can also choose the plan which is most convenient for you. Hostgator is one of the most popular used web hosting sites on the internet. You’ll also need to take a look at a website domain. GoDaddy is a good place to get a domain from, it’s reasonably cheap and again, another site which is well known and popular, so it’s reliable.

We’re nearly there. You should have by now a web domain, a hosting plan, a niche and some products to promote (it’s alright if you don’t, you can briefly learn the steps, and do it later). So it’s time to make the site. Now if you’re decent at HTML, you can make your website from scratch using HTML. If not, you can use a free content management program such as Joomla or Wordpress, which is very popular. These programs allow you to create a website very easily.

You need to write up your articles and link them with your products. Once you do that, you can post them up on your website, and there you go! You’re up and running. However, there’s still something else you need to do before you start making a decent amount of money from this. You need to target your keywords, aim for a certain market and choose the write articles to write about to maximize your profits.
